Iran Press/ Asia: The US military left the Bagram military base on July 2, 2021, after nearly 20 years.
Bagram air base is the largest US military installation in Afghanistan that had once seen as many as 100,000 US troops.
The most notorious US prisons were located at the air base, in which many Afghans, who were against the US military presence, were imprisoned.
According to Afghan news sources, the US military has committed several crimes in Afghanistan over the past 20 years.
Afghan President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani visited the Bagram air base last Friday.
