Tehran (IP) - The advisor of IRIB head and director-general of international affairs said out of 500 works, 16 were sent to the festival of the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU).

Iran PressIran news: Ali Fahimdanesh said at the meeting to introduce the selected works of the IRIB (Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting) for the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union: "The ABU is one of the oldest international organizations of which 70 countries are members.”

He added: "IRIB, as one of the oldest and most important members, has had an effective presence and received good awards. We sent different works this year too. Since Feb 2021, a judging committee was formed and 16 works have been selected for the final festival out of 500."

"We faced sanctions and we were struggling with the coronavirus. In spite of all this, we have tried to portray life and hope for the future," he noted.
