Kabul (IP) - The US military left Bagram Air Base in Afghanistan on Friday after nearly two decades of invading the country.

Iran PressAsia: According to Reuters, the US and NATO troops vacated the Afghan key base, which is located 30 miles north of Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan.

Both the US military and NATO forces are winding up their two-decade-long invasion of Afghanistan and they are expected to bring home all their remaining troops by September 11.

Following US President Joe Biden's order to withdraw all US troops from Afghanistan by the anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, the process began in the last week of April and is still ongoing.

According to the US Central Command (CENTCOM) statement, about 763 C-17 loads have moved out of the country since President Joe Biden on April 14 announced the end of the war in Afghanistan.
