Tehran (IP) – Head of the Energy Commission of Iran's Parliament said that short-term, medium-term and long-term measures to solve frequent power cuts were reviewed.

Iran PressIran News: Responding to Iran Press' question on the sidelines of today's meeting of the Energy Commission on recent blackouts, Fereydoon Hassanvand stated that the private sector in non-renewable energy area is potentially prepared to produce at least 300 MW of electricity, which can enter the main electricity network by concluding a contract with the Ministry of Energy.

He noted that by the order of Iran's Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, the Energy Commission held a special meeting with the energy minister in attendance to review frequent power outages.
