President-Elect Raisi responds to Putin congratulation message

Tehran (IP) - Iran Ambassador to Russia, met with the Russian president's Special Assistant Andrei Fursenk and handed over Iran's president-elect's written response to Vladimir Putin's congratulation message.

Iran PressIran news: During the meeting, Jalali discussed the problems created for Iranian students and businessmen following the entry bans into Russia after the coronavirus pandemic and called for a solution.

The Russian presidential aide called the strengthening of Iran-Russia relations inevitable and said: "I strongly believe that resilience, stability, and independence have made Iran a role model for many countries and Iran is one of the most independent countries in the world."

Fursenko also touched upon the difficulties faced by Iranian students and businessmen when they enter Russia, saying: "I will talk to the government officials, the deputy prime minister and the ministry of science in this regard and I will try to resolve the existing obstacles, including  sending coronavirus vaccines."

Vladimir Putin was the first foreign leader to congratulate President-Elect Raisi on his victory in the Iran Presidential Election.
