Moscow (IP) - The Iranian ambassador to Moscow and the Russian energy minister discussed ways to further develop oil and energy cooperation between the two countries.

Iran PressEurope: On Friday, Kazem Jalali met with Nikolai Shulginov, who also chairs the Iran-Russia Joint Economic Commission. 

Stating that important energy projects are underway between the two countries, Jalali said: "Sirik thermal power plant, as a huge project, is just one of the joint projects of Iran and Russia."

The Iranian ambassador to Russia also mentioned the start of joint production of Sputnik-V vaccine in Iran, as the first country in the region and the sixth country in the world, and added: "The relations between the two countries are in excellent condition and we hope that with the cooperation of each other, these relations would expand."

Referring to the joint plans of the two countries in the fields of oil, gas, energy, railways, and peaceful nuclear energy, the Russian Minister of Energy expressed hope that the bilateral cooperation between Iran and Russia would expand further.
