Yemen’s military launched yet another successful missile and drone attack against several targets in Saudi Arabia in retaliation for the Saudi regime’s ongoing military aggression and blockade against the country.

Iran PressMiddle East: The Spokesman for the Yemeni Armed Forces Brigadier General Yahya Saree said that in the joint operation by the Yemeni Missile Forces and UAV Forces, sensitive Saudi military positions in Najran, Abha, and Khamis Mushait were targeted.

He added that the operation was carried out with five ballistic missiles and five UAVs, which successfully hit their targets.

Saree stated that the Saudi National Guard base in Najran, military positions at Abha International Airport, and King Khalid Air Base in Khamis Mushait were targeted.

Saree said that the operation was carried out within the framework of our legitimate right in response to the continuation of the aggression and blockade of our country.

Saudi Arabia and a number of its regional allies launched the war on Yemen in March 2015, with the goal of suppressing a popular uprising that had toppled a Riyadh-friendly regime.

The Yemeni armed forces and allied popular groups have been successfully defending Yemen since then.

But the Saudi-led war and blockade have created a humanitarian crisis in Yemen. The United Nations says more than 24 million Yemenis are in dire need of humanitarian aid, including 10 million suffering from extreme levels of hunger. The world body also refers to the situation in Yemen as the world’s worst humanitarian crisis.
