Tehran (IP) - Iran's Navy Commander has headed for Réunion Island in East Madagascar, the Indian Ocean.

Iran Press/Iran news: Rear Admiral Hossein Khanzadi, Commander of the Navy of the Army of the Islamic Republic of left for Réunion (overseas department and region of France) to attend the 7th Indian Ocean Naval Symposium (IONS) event hosted by France located East of the island of Madagascar in the Indian Ocean as the rotating Chairman of the Indian Ocean Naval Symposium (IONS).

The Indian Ocean Naval Symposium consists of 23 permanent members and 9 observer members. The Navy of the Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran has been the Chairman of the Summit for three years since 2018 and is a permanent member.
