Chabahar (IP) - The Commander of the Iranian Navy said the overall goal of the hybrid naval security exercise in the North Indian Ocean region was to achieve collective security in the region.

Iran PressIran news: Rear Admiral Hossein Khanzadi said that since last year, a series of hybrid maritime security exercises with the participation of the world and region’s countries have been on the agenda of the Navy.

At this exercise, which began today, Admiral Khanzadi said, the Russian Navy has joined the exercise site, and the Indian Navy would participate in the maritime security drills.

He said the exercise kicked off with the aim of achieving collective security and participative practice, adding that the exercise was held last year with the presence of China’s Navy, adding that the country would join the drill after the Chinese new year.

This year's exercise is characterized by the addition of the Indian Navy to the exercise, India is one of the strongest navies in the region, and the presence of the Indian Navy in the exercise is very important for India and Iran.

Admiral Khanzadi highlighted the addition of the Indian Navy to the exercise, saying India was one of the strongest navies in the region, and the presence of the Indian Navy in the exercise was very important for India and Iran.

The Iranian commander also pointed to ‘Aman-21’ exercise underway in Pakistan, the sense of which is security-making, and was attended to and supervised by the commander of the Southern Fleet of the Navy of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Army.

Also, one of the IONS Summit workshops in India is being held with the theme of disaster management (HADR), in which a representative of the Iranian Navy is present, he said.

“The combination of efforts that is taking shape in the Indian Ocean region shows that the countries of this region, especially those with naval powers, are becoming more convergent than ever in order to achieve collective security,” Admiral Khanzadi reiterated.

He went on: “This convergence means that the global arrogant power that has plagued the region to this day must realize that it has to leave the region; the region has possessors, and that the navy has enough control to establish security in the region.”

The Commander of the Iranian Navy said all of these issues meant the growth and development of security in the interest of regional security and global trade.
