The US has vowed to continue nuclear negotiations after Ebrahim Raisi won the Iranian presidential election with a big margin.

Iran PressAmerica: US State Department said indirect talks in Vienna between the US and Iran had made “meaningful progress,” and Washington wanted to build on this.

"We will continue discussions along with our allies and partners on a mutual return to compliance with the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA)," the spokesperson said.

Iran, with six world powers, China, France, Germany, Russia, the US, and the UK, are currently engaged in talks in Vienna, brokered by European diplomats, on salvaging the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) and convincing Iran and the US to return to the agreement.

The 7th round of negotiations, which began in April, will be held in Vienna on Sunday.
