Iran Press/ Europe: According to the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Moscow, the Russian President Vladimir Putin in his congratulatory message to Ebrahim Raisi, Iran's President-elect, referred to the traditional relations between the two countries as 'friendly and based on good neighborliness'.
Putin also expressed hope that this great position would contribute to increasing development of constructive bilateral cooperation in various fields as well as participatory interaction in international affairs.
The Russian president also stated: "This issue fully meets the interests of the nations of Russia and Iran and is moving towards strengthening regional security and stability".
