Baghdad (IP) – In a meeting with the Iraqi minister of culture, the spokesman of Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed the increase of cultural exchange between two countries.

During the meeting, they discussed the promotion of cultural relations between Iran and Iraq, how to resume pilgrimages, and specific areas of cooperation in culture, art, and civilization.

Khatibzadeh considered the capacity of cultural relations beyond the current level and stressed the need for careful planning to promote relations, especially focusing on civilizational, cultural, and artistic aspects such as visual arts, performing arts, poetry, music, and tourism.

Reviewing the many areas of cooperation, the Iraqi minister of culture announced Baghdad's readiness to resume limited pilgrimage trips within the agreed health framework. Hussein Nazim stressed the need to expand cooperation in cultural and artistic issues of mutual interest.
