Families of Srebrenica massacre watched the Butcher of Srebrenica as the court upheld life sentence for him over Srebrenica massacre back in 1995.

Iran PressEurope: Families of victims of 1995 Srebrenica massacre watched in Sarajevo City Hall known as Vijecnica and expressed joy as the court upheld convictions and life sentence for former Bosnian Serb military chief Ratko Mladic known as "Butcher of Srebrenica".

The appeal court has found the former Bosnian Serb military chief guilty of genocide, crime against humanity and war crime during the Bosnia war and the "Butcher of Srebrenica" will spend life in prison. 

This is the final sentence confirmed by five judges and the end of road for the Bosnian Serb general a decade after his capture. 

8,000 men and boys from Srebrenica were slaughtered in 1995 mass executions. Mladić’s convictions for overseeing the sniping and shelling of civilians in Sarajevo, the ethnic cleansing of other towns and seizure of UN peacekeepers as hostages were also upheld on appeal on Tuesday.
