Why it matters:
Iran has always been committed to International law and IAEA safeguards while being a member of NPT. So, the question is that why the Israeli regime, supported by the U.S., attacked Iran's nuclear facilities.
The big picture:
Over the years, despite the imposed sanctions by the U.S., Iran tried to gain nuclear science through the efforts of its own scientists. Iran has sparked a revolution in its radiopharmaceuticals using Uranium enrichment to introduce new treatments for curing cancer patients and has reached a point to export them to other countries.
What he's saying:
Araghchi: “Why to import what we can produce ourselves? Enrichment is a scientific achievement.”
“Enrichment is halted due to severe damage, but we won’t abandon it. it’s a matter of national pride.”
Flashback:
On 14 July 2015, the five permanent members of the United Nations Security Council including China, France, Russia, the U.K., U.S. plus Germany signed the agreement called Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA). Later, in May 2018 the U.S. unilaterally withdrew the agreement. Afterward, E3 didn't fulfil their commitments as well.
