The UN Human Rights Council on Thursday approved the formation of a committee to investigate the Israeli regime's crimes against the oppressed people of Palestine.

Iran PressEurope: The draft resolution establishing an investigation committee to investigate the Israeli regime's crimes was approved by the UN Human Rights Council with 24 votes in favor, 9 against and 19 abstentions.

This draft was submitted by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.

The draft called on the UN Human Rights Council to immediately set up an independent international commission to investigate Israeli crimes in Quds, the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.

Pakistan, on behalf of the organization and the Palestinian Authority, called for a meeting of the Human Rights Council on Thursday.
