Tehran (IP) - The secretary of the 38th Fajr International Film Festival said that the level of films participating in this round of the festival is excellent.

Iran PressIran news: In an interview with Iran Press, Mohammad-Mehdi Asgarpour stated that in the past 11 months, more than 1,000 films were screened at the headquarters of the 38th Fajr International Film Festival, and a number of them had been selected for screening at the festival.

He noted that foreign guests and filmmakers were not physically present during the festival due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

Asgarpour also praised the reception of the festival and pointed out that with the observance of health protocols, the capacity of each movie theater had been reduced by 50%, and the audience could follow the festival programs through virtual channels.

He added that more than 300 film screenings would be carried out for seven days during the festival.

The opening ceremony of the 38th Fajr International Film Festival was held on Wednesday evening at the Charsou Cineplex in Tehran, and the festival will continue for 7 days.
