Tehran (IP) – Iranian national karate team still has a chance to win the Olympics in men's and women's kata and Kumite sections.

Iran PressIran News: In an interview with Iran Press, Public Relations Manager of the Iranian Karate Federation, Mahmoud Mohammadi, said: "In the last stage of the Tokyo Olympics qualifiers, which will be held next week in Paris, the Iranian national karate team will try to get the remaining quotas to participate in the Tokyo Olympics."

He stated that Abolfazl Shahrjerdi and Fatemeh Sadeqi would compete in the kata section against opponents, and they will win the Olympic quota if they win the first to third titles.

He added that Amir Mehdizadeh and Rozita Alipour would be sent to the Paris competitions to win the Olympic quota in the Kumite section.

He noted that Iran had gained a good position among the world countries by winning 4 Olympic quotas.
