UN official:

Tehran (IP) - UNHCR Director for Asia and the Pacific said that what the Islamic Republic of Iran has done for Afghan refugees over the last four decades has been outstanding.

Iran PressIran news: In an interview with Iran Press, Indrika Ratwatte added that Iran has included Afghan refugees in education and health and it has been a sample.

Indrika Ratwatte went on to say that after coronavirus breakout, necessary equipment was sent to Iran for refugees through cooperation with World Health Organization (WHO).

Afghanistan has 6.5 million refugees and asylum seekers worldwide, and Iran and Pakistan host 2.5 and 2.4 million Afghans, respectively.
