Tehran (IP) - Russia's ambassador and permanent representative to international organizations based in Vienna called the Vienna talks on JCPOA a unique example in history, adding that the aim was to revive an agreement that was ruined.

Iran PressEurope: Mikhail Ulyanov, who is chairing the Russian delegation to the JCPOA talks, tweeted on Friday: "The aim isn’t to update an agreement or elaborate a new one."

“The goal is to restore a nearly ruined deal piece by piece. Was there a similar exercise in the history of international relations? I can not recollect anything like that. Can you?” he tweeted.

Representatives of JCPOA member states met in Vienna over the past month to discuss activating the agreement and the possible return of the United States to it. They have convened several meetings of the Joint Commission in Vienna and made progress in reviving the nuclear deal.
