Tehran (IP) – Iran's Health Ministry announced that COVID-19 had killed 229 patients in the past 24 hours, bringing the total death toll to 77,994.

Iran Press/Iran News: According to definitive laboratory findings from yesterday to May 20, 2021, 2,804,632 people in the country have contracted COVID-19, and 2,290,613 of the total infected people recovered.

Newly diagnosed patients with COVID-19 were 12,428 cases, out of whom 1,776 patients were hospitalized.

5,081 COVID-19 patients are in intensive care units (ICU).

So far, 18,551,061 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted across Iran.

According to the latest analysis, 3 cities are red, 262 are orange, and 183 are yellow zones.

So far, 2,366,895 people have received the first dose of the COVID vaccine, 439,293 people have received the second dose, and the total number of vaccines injected in the country reached 2,806,188 doses.
