Tehran (IP) - The Spokesman of the Iranian Parliament’s Commission of National Security and Foreign Policy said the parliament’s position about the Vienna talks was the lifting of all the sanctions and verifying it, and finally Iran’s return to its JCPOA commitments.

Iran PressIran news: In an interview with Iran Press on Wednesday, Abolfazl Amoui noted that the American side must lift the sanctions it imposed on Iran after leaving the JCPOA, adding that the current talks were underway within the very framework.

Amoui pointed out that so far four rounds of talks had been held in Vienna which Iran’s parliament was aware of the process of negotiations until the end of the third round, and that it would definitely hold a meeting next week as the negotiating team returned to Iran.

He stressed that the parliament’s position about the Vienna talks, which was announced in the form of Strategic Law for Lifting Sanctions, was the very lifting of all the sanctions and verifying it, and finally Iran’s return to its JCPOA commitments.

The Iranian lawmaker said the purpose of the Vienna talks between Iran and the P4+1 was to set criteria for the US’ return to its JCPOA obligations under UN Security Council Resolution 2231.

The parliament insisted on having an effective oversight of the Vienna negotiation process so that the national interests as well as what the people and the Leader of the Islamic Revolution wanted were fulfilled, he told Iran Press.
