Tehran (IP) – Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman says the issue of Palestine is Iran’s priority and the first issue of the Islamic world.

Iran PressIran News: Responding to the Iran Press question, Saeed Khatibzadeh stated that Palestine’s cause had been the cause of free nations worldwide and had been followed during the last decades.

He noted that one of the most important messages of Iran's Islamic Revolution had been supporting the oppressed Palestinian nation.

"The issue of Palestine is our diplomacy’s priority as well," he said.

"Despite normalizing ties with the Zionist regime, the latest movements in the occupied lands proved that nothing can decrease the importance of the first issue of the Islamic world," he pointed out.

Pointing to Iran's Foreign Minister Mohammad-Javad Zarif’s speech on Sunday, Khatibzadeh said: "Some parts referred to the importance of calling on nations to recognize Israel’s aggression against Palestinians as “war” against humanity."

"I declared Iran’s position toward Palestine issue one more time, so that all Islamic countries, the Islamic Conference Organization, the United Nations, and all responsible organizations take action to prevent continuing attacks and revive Palestinian’s rights," he added.
