Tehran (IP) - Minister of Industry, Mine, and Trade announced an 80% increase in non-oil exports in the past two months of this current Iranian year (starting on March 20) compared to last year.

Iran PressIran news: Speaking at a meeting to develop Iran’s export developing programs in Tehran on Tuesday, Alireza Razmhosseini stated that the ministry of industry, mine, and trade did its best to pave the way for exports and still focuses on this fact as its main responsibility.

Although sanctions were imposed on Iran, the rate of Iran’s exports last year was 35 billion dollars, Razmhosseini added.

"Through cooperation with unions and private sections, Iran’s rate of non-oil exports increased by 80% in the last two months compared to the similar period last year," the minister highlighted.

Razmhosseini went on to say that as the leader named this year, production, support, and elimination of obstacles, ministry of industry, mine, and trade tried to lift obstacles not only in its industry but also in related ministries and sections like Ministry of agriculture-Jihad and central bank.

A list of irritable laws was given to the various commissions of the parliament to lift barriers to production.

"The Export Guarantee Fund of Iran increased its activity by 41% to empower private sectors," he added.

Several exhibitions in industry, mine and trade were held last year by observing coronavirus health protocols, and more are planned this year to reach our goals, Razmhosseini concluded.
