Tehran (IP) - While emphasizing the identification of the perpetrators behind the attack on the Iranian consulate in Karbala, the Iranian Foreign Minister expressed hope that such incidents would not be repeated with the seriousness of the Iraqi government and the security forces of the country.

Iran PressIran News: In a telephone conversation with his Iraqi counterpart, Fouad Hussein, Mohammad Javad Zarif conveyed Iran's objection regarding such actions against diplomatic rules and procedures violation of the provisions of the 1963 Vienna Convention.

Iraqi Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein also expressed regret for such acts of violence, stressing the Iraqi government's commitment to securing diplomats and diplomatic sites in Iraq, and said that it had ordered the tightening of security measures.
