Tehran (IP) - By the end of August, about 30 million doses of the 'Cov-Iran Barekat' vaccine will be produced and given to the Health Ministry.

Iran PressIran news: In the third phases of the clinical study of the 'Cov-Iran Barekat' vaccine, the Head of Execution of Imam Khomeini's Order, Mohammad Mokhber, announced that one million doses of the vaccine would be produced this month, 3 million doses next month, 10 to 12 million doses in July, and 13 to 15 million doses in August.

He stated that the produced vaccine would be given to the Health Ministry for vaccination.

He noted that from September, 20 million doses of the vaccine would be produced monthly.

Referring to Iranian scientists' efforts to produce the vaccine, Mokhber pointed out that in the next 3 to 4 months, the Iranian vaccine would have the highest quality in the world and people's concerns regarding the virus would be resolved.

He concluded that all Iranian vaccines had achieved the human testing phase and desirable results, but the 'Cov-Iran Barekat' vaccine would have fewer side effects.

The Head of the Iranian Research Center for HIV and AIDS, Minoo Mohraz, who was one of the volunteers to get the jab, stated that the vaccine had been effective against the UK variant, and research had been underway on its effect on the Indian and African variants as well.
