Iran bans Flights to and from India, Pakistan

Tehran (IP) - Flights to and from India and Pakistan will be banned from midnight tonight, according to a decision by the Ministry of Health on cross-border health care practices for air travel and the detection of the mutated coronavirus in those countries.

Iran PressIran news: Emphasizing that there is no scheduled flight between Iran and India and currently flights are limited and occasional, Mohammad Hassan Zibakhsh added: "Acceptance of passengers  with flight connection from the mentioned countries will also be prohibited."

The spokesman for the Civil Aviation Organization of Iran said there were currently 41 flight restrictions, adding: "Flights from the countries of origin and destination which are on the list of special conditions and countries on the list of high-risk countries are required to be retested in Iran.

He pointed out: “The possibility of traveling requires a negative PCR test with a validity of 96 hours at the origin and re-testing after entering the country for travelers over the age 8  in high-risk countries and traveling in other countries with the requirement to provide a negative PCR test with a validity of 96 Hours of origin and syndromic care after entering the country and re-testing if necessary.

According to Zibakhsh, PCR testing is valid only in laboratories approved by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran in the countries of origin.
