Tehran (IP) – The spokesman for the National Task Force for Fighting Coronavirus announced that a comprehensive COVID vaccination system would be launched in Iran.

Iran PressIran News: Alireza Raisi stated on Saturday that a comprehensive COVID-19 vaccination system would be launched soon in Iran and people could get information about the time of vaccination.

He added that from about the end of July, people would be notified about their vaccination time.

COVID vaccination in Iran started on February 9 and until April 23, 718,510 doses of vaccine were injected in the first and second stages.

So far, 270,567 doses of the Russian 'Sputnik V' vaccine have been injected in the first round and 143,550 doses in the second round.

Also, 81,914 doses of the Chinese 'Sinopharm' vaccine were injected in the first round and 7,506 doses in the second round.

56,067 doses of Indian 'COVAXIN' were injected in the first round and 3,644 doses in the second round.

Also, 155,262 doses of the South Korean 'AstraZeneca' vaccine were injected for the first time.

Raisi said that a newly mutated virus had been identified in India that was even more severe and deadly than others, including the British.

He also went on to say that the trend of coronavirus is still on the rise in the country and in the meantime, 17 provinces are still on the rise and the trend in 7 provinces is also expanding sharply.
