Tehran (IP): Spokesman for Food and Drug Administration of Iran announced the start of the second phase of COVID-19 vaccination of medical staff in Iran's hospitals and health centers.

Iran Press/Iran News: Kianoosh Jahanpour wrote on his personal account in social media: "After the favorable evaluation of the first stage of COVID-19 vaccination, by the order of the Minister of Health and Medical Education of Iran, the second stage of vaccination of medical staff started, this time with vaccination of 100,000 people in hospitals and health centers."

COVID-19 vaccination in Iran has started on February 9 (Bahman 21, 1399) with the Russian vaccine "Sputnik V" by the injection of the vaccine to the staff of intensive care units of hospitals.

According to the priorities of the national corona vaccination document, 1.3 million vulnerable groups, including health staff and the elderly, will be vaccinated in Iran before Nowruz 1400 in the Iranian calendar (March 20, 2021).
