Tehran (IP): The spokesman for the Secretariat of the Supreme National Security Council denied the allegations made by the secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, noting that Iran had explicitly stated the crash of the Ukrainian plane was unintentional and caused by human error.

Iran Press/Iran news: Referring to the visit of Oleksiy Danilov, the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine to Iran in late February 2020, Keyvan Khosravi stated: "During Danilov's joint meeting with the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran Ali Shamkhani, which was attended by representatives of the two countries' aviation authorities, a comprehensive technical explanation was provided to him, stressing the unintentional nature of the tragic incident, which was caused by human error."

He added: "Shamkhani in a joint meeting with Danilov referred to the comprehensive and accurate research conducted by various expert groups in our country, categorically rejecting any other possibility in this regard."

Khosravi noted: "Danilov's only request from Iran was to send the black box of the plane to Ukraine.”

He added: "Iran's initial opinion was to transfer the specialized equipment for reading the black box in Iran, which was not possible due to technical reasons."

"In an agreement between Admiral Shamkhani and Danilov, decisions made were in line with sending the black box to Ukraine, but after a careful examination by the experts of the Civil Aviation Organization, it became clear that Ukraine does not have the necessary technical capability to read the black box. Therefore, the black box was sent to France and read in the presence of a group of beneficiary countries,” Khosravi stated.

In the end, Khosravi reiterated that this tragic incident happened due to human error, adding that pursuing political goals and intentions, in this case, is unacceptable and rejected.
