Tehran (IP) - Head of Iran's Atomic Energy Organization says that the Organization's technical experts are present in the Vienna talks, and the first round of these talks has been positive.

Iran Press/Iran News: On the sidelines of the cabinet meeting on Wednesday, Ali Akbar Salehi, in response to Iran Press on the results and process of the Vienna talks, stated that Iran's position on the JCPOA (Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action) is clear and principled, and if the US returns to the deal and lift imposed sanctions, Iran will also return as well.

Salehi said that the Vienna talks were examining technical measures and how to lift the sanctions off, adding that new sanctions also which have been imposed during Donald Trump administration, should be reviewed in the Vienna talks.

The head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran stated that on the other hand, Iran's actions in the Vienna talks would be reviewed, and some measures such as 20% uranium enrichment could be stopped momentarily, but it would take time to assemble new centrifuges.

Salehi also noted: "We should wait for the talks to take place on Friday, and we hope that the talks will be in a positive direction."

During the Vienna meeting, envoys from Russia, China, Germany, France, Britain, and Iran agreed to establish two expert-level working groups, work on the lifting of sanctions, and work on nuclear issues.
