Tehran (IP) - Iran’s foreign ministry spokesman confirmed the attack on the Iranian ship, Saviz, but said no one was killed in the incident.

Iran Press/Iran News: Responding to a question about the attack on an Iranian ship in the Red Sea, Saeed Khatibzadeh said: "An Iranian cargo ship was slightly damaged in an explosion in the Red Sea near the coast of Djibouti yesterday, April 6, at around 6:00 AM local time which is under investigation."

"According to the coordination with the International Maritime Organization, the Saviz civilian ship docked in as a logistics station to conduct maritime security along the shipping lanes and fight against pirates in the Red Sea region and the Gulf of Aden," the spokesman said.
