Practical work started towards reviving JCPOA: Ulyanov

Vienna (IP) - Russia's permanent representative to international organizations in Vienna said that practical work towards the restoration of the JCPOA has started.

Iran PressEurope: In a Tuesday tweet, Mikhail Ulyanov wrote the result of Tuesday's meeting of the JCPOA Joint Commission was successful.

"Two expert-level groups (on sanctions lifting and nuclear issues) were tasked to identify concrete measures to be taken by Washington and Tehran to restore full implementation of JCPOA. The groups started to work immediately," he added.

"The restoration of the JCPOA will not happen immediately. It will take some time. How long? Nobody knows. The most important thing after today’s meeting of the Joint Commission is that practical work towards achieving this goal has started," the Russian diplomat said.

Iran and 4+1 have ended the first round of the 18th session of the Joint Commission of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) in Vienna, and the parties have agreed to continue consultations at the expert level.
