Iran Press/ Europe: In a Friday tweet, Mikhail Ulyanov wrote: "Possible #US return to #JCPOA apparently will require full Washington’s compliance with the nuclear deal and #UNSC resolution 2231."
Ulyanov noted that the Joint Commission of the JCPOA would resume on April 6 in Vienna to address practical aspects of lifting the sanctions on Iran.
Elsewhere in another tweet, he pointed out: "At today’s virtual meeting of the Joint Commission of JCPOA the Participants (including Iran, of course) recognized the prospect of full return of the US to the nuclear deal and underlined their readiness to positively address this in a joint effort."
Meanwhile, the reporter of Wall Street Journal claimed in a tweet: "To be clear on something: the Iranians are giving the impression that they refused pressure today to agree to direct talks with the US. My clear understanding is it has been clear for days that if this happened, it would be indirect talks. Not direct US-Iran."
Still, the Russian diplomat wrote in another tweet: "Discussions were quite businesslike and will continue. The impression is that we are on the right track but the way ahead will not be easy and will require intensive efforts. The stakeholders seem to be ready for that".
The 18th meeting of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) was held virtually on Friday, April 2, 2021.
