Tehran (IP) - Iranian Foreign Minister says the 25-year comprehensive document on the Iran-China strategic partnership is more than bilateral cooperation and called it regional and global.

Iran Press/Iran News: Mohammad Javad Zarif in his Twitter message on Saturday said: "Excellent exchange on the expansion of global, regional, and bilateral cooperation in the context of our comprehensive strategic partnership, culminated in the signing of a historic 25-year strategic roadmap."

In the meeting between Iranian FM Zarif and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi on Saturday afternoon, the 25-year comprehensive document on the Iran-China strategic partnership was finalized and inked in the Iranian capital of Tehran.

The 25-year document on comprehensive cooperation between Iran and China was finalized Saturday in a meeting held in the Iranian capital between Leader's advisor and Tehran's special envoy for strategic relations with Beijing Ali Larijani and China's visiting Foreign Minister Wang Yi.

The Sino-Iranian Comprehensive Strategic Partnership was announced in a joint statement during a Chinese President Xi Jinping visit to Tehran in 2016.

The cooperation roadmap consists of 20 articles covering Tehran-Beijing ties in “Political,” “Executive Cooperation,” “Human and Cultural,” “Judiciary, Security and Defense,” and “Regional and International” domains, according to the statement released back then.
