Tehran (IP)- The head of Masih Daneshvari Hospital said the hospital had been a pioneer in admitting and treating patients since the first days of the coronavirus outbreak in Iran.

Iran PressIran News: In an exclusive interview with Iran Press News Agency, Ali Akbar Velayati stated that the hospital was a role model for other hospitals in the country with its specialized staff in respiratory and infectious diseases.

He highlighted that some of the innovative methods used to treat COVID-19 at this hospital were welcomed in hospitals worldwide.

Stressing that it is one of Iran's honors to serve patients qualitatively and quantitatively, Velayati noted that the information regarding two types of effective and prescribed drugs at Masih Danehvari Hospital for coronavirus patients was published and followed by other countries. 

Velayati highlighted that all patients who came to the hospital were treated, explaining that one of the things that reduced the death toll in this hospital was non-invasive devices such as oxygen masks.

Velayati advised people to observe health protocols during the New Year holidays and limit visits and travels.

He also requested that people refer to the hospital immediately when noticing any symptoms such as fever or cough to prevent coronavirus from spreading.
