Istanbul (IP) - The captain of the Iranian national karate team reached the final of the World League of Karate1-Premier League, Istanbul.

Iran Press/Iran Sports: The first round of the World League of Karate1-Premier League in 2021 started on Friday in Istanbul, Turkey with the participation of 584 karatekas from 72 countries and will last until Sunday.

The Iranian national karate team participated in this event in two sections: Kata and the Men and Women's Kumite.

In the noon competitions on Saturday, Zabihullah Poursheib, the captain of the Iranian national team in the weight category of minus 84kg, after the rest in the first round, won against opponents from Hungary, Belgium, and Italy and reached the semifinals, in which he beat the Croatian karateka and entered the final.
