Iran Press/Iran News: In the Graduation Ceremony of students of law enforcement universities of Iran, Brigadier-General Hossein Ashtari added that were it not for the guidance of Iran's Islamic Revolution Leader and the sacrifice of the martyrs, including Lieutenant General Qasem Soleimani, Iran would not be at peace in the region now.
Referring to the police force's responsibilities, Ashtari stated that one of the duties of the police force was to defend the rights of the people, contribute to Islamic morality, and promote spiritual morale and peace in society.
He stressed that the duty of the police force is to fight against oppression and violation of the law, and police must stand by the people with authority and vigilance.
Ashtari stressed, "The police force must be familiar with the latest technologies and use the existing capacities in the face of the challenges in the society."
Referring to the Iranian New Year (Nowruz) and the presidential election in the next Iranian year, the top official noted that the police force should be ready for the New Year missions and the presidential election, and it was the police's responsibility to maintain the security in the upcoming election.
Highlighting that current year was a year of pride for the people, Ashtari said that despite the difficult conditions in coronavirus, with the leader's guidance and the support medical staff's presence, these difficult conditions were controled.
Ashtari stressed that the police force considered itself the guardian of Islam's life, honor, and values .
He concluded that the trust of the Iranians in the police had increased due to these forces' sacrifices.
