Ostia (IP) - The wrestling expert in Italy considered Iranian wrestling as a role model for Italy.

Iran Press/Iran News: In an interview with Iran Press News Agency at the end of the 4-day international freestyle wrestling competition Matteo Pellicone Ranking Series in Ostia, Italian sports reporter, writer, and wrestling instructor Maurizio Casarola said that Wrestling in Iran was effective.

Casarola stated that due to his interest in wrestling, especially Iranian wrestling, in some of his books, such as SI FA PRESTO A DIRE LOTTA, he allocated a chapter to Gholamreza Takhti, the great champion of Iranian wrestling because Takhti was a symbol of heroism and chivalry.

In another book he published in Italy a year ago, ABBRACCIAMO IL MONDO, the wrestling instructor also narrated one of the most famous Takhti’s competitions with a Soviet wrestler, where he preferred to lose the match due to an injury to his Soviet rival's leg.
