Tehran (IP): Secretary-General of the Iran-Iraq Joint Chamber of Commerce announced the release of part of Iran's financial resources in Iraq.

Iran Press/Iran news: Hamid Hosseini, Secretary-General of the Iran-Iraq Joint Chamber of Commerce, said on Friday: "After the recent visit of the Iraqi Foreign Minister to Iran, the issue of releasing Iranian resources came to an end and Iraqi officials announced that some of these resources were released through various banks." 

He also wrote in a Twitter message: "Reliable sources in Iraq have reported that the United States has agreed to release Iranian resources at the Trade Bank of Iraq and that several transactions have taken place."

“This event on the eve of Nowruz and Ramadan will be a way to provide people with essential items,” he added in a Tweet.

Iranian and Iraqi banking officials have repeatedly consulted in recent months on releasing Iranian resources.
