Ahvaz (IP) - President of Ahvaz Jundishapur University of Medical Sciences stated that in the last 2 days, about 30,000 corona tests were conducted in Khuzestan province, which was a record in the country.

Iran PressIran news: Farhad Abol-Nejadian said that one of the important measures taken in Khuzestan province was an increase in the diagnosis of coronavirus-infected people.

Speaking in a televised program on Friday morning, Abol-Nejadian added: "Also based on the approval of the provincial Task Force to Fight against the Coronavirus and the emphasis of the Minister of Health on controlling the exits of Khuzestan province to prevent the coronavirus outbreak in other parts of the country, the province has established a testing unit in airports, railways and passenger terminals that is testing passengers."

He went on to say that so far, no coronavirus-infected patients in Khuzestan province have been left behind the hospital door and they have been provided with beds all, stressing: "To be able to control this disease and provide medical services to all patients, we must follow the health protocols and avoid traveling around the city and attending gatherings."

The official said that the amount of reference to medical centers in Khuzestan province is still high, highlighting: "However, the situation in the field of treatment is under control and we have not lost control of the disease. Despite the increasing trend of patients in normal and special wards in Khuzestan province, beds are still available for patients."

The President of Ahvaz Jundishapur University of Medical Sciences Farhad Abol-Nejadian underscored: "The health staff of the province has always been trying to eliminate the shortages of medical centers and in this regard, good support has been provided by the Ministry of Health."
