Damascus (IP) - Iran's Vice President for Science and Technology, in a meeting with the Syrian Minister of Health, stressed Iran's readiness to export medical technologies to Syria.

Knowledge-based and creative companies have now brought us to a point where we have good products in many areas, such as medicine, medical equipment, and biotechnology, Sattari said.

The Iranian Vice President for Science and Technology added: Iran is ready to cooperate with Syria in areas such as providing medicine and medical equipment and providing the necessary training.

Syrian Health Minister Nizar Yazigi also said during the meeting: "If it becomes possible for some Syrian doctors to travel to Iran for short courses, it will be a good thing. Because our country is under siege and the facilities that are imported from foreign countries are very small."

He also added: "Iranian biotechnology drugs have a significant role in treating incurable diseases, and we will send expert teams to Iran to visit Iranian pharmaceutical factories.

Sorena Sattari, Vice President for Science and Technology of the Islamic Republic of Iran, has traveled to Syria along with 40 knowledge-based and creative companies.
