Tehran (IP): Deputy Foreign Minister described any attempt to pass a resolution by the Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) as unconstructive and to threaten to diplomacy.

Iran PressIran news: The fourth round of Iran-Austria political consultations was held today, with the presence of Abbas Araghchi, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister, and Peter Launsky, Secretary-General for Foreign Affairs in the Federal Ministry of European and International Affairs.

While emphasizing the historical and friendly relations between the two countries, they examined the latest developments related to JCPOA in detail.

Abbas Araghchi considered the complete lifting of illegal and oppressive sanctions as a basic condition for Iran's full return to its obligations.

He strongly criticized the European sides' lack of effective action in fulfilling their obligations, noting that any attempt to pass a resolution at the IAEA Board of Governors would create an unconstructive and threatening atmosphere for diplomacy, especially after the recent agreement between Iran and the IAEA.

During the meeting, Peter Launsky welcomed the recent agreement reached between Iran and the IAEA, calling it an opportunity for diplomacy.

Launsky announced Austria's readiness to help strengthen diplomacy in this direction.
