Tehran (IP) - Director of the Eastern Mediterranean Region of the World Health Organisation said that Iran's research to produce the COVID-19 vaccines was successful and it will be a vaccine producer in the region.

Iran PressIran News: Attending a press conference after meeting Iran's Health Minister Saeed Namaki,  Ahmed bin Salim Al-Mandhari said that Iran had had good researchers in producing vaccines and had good communication with knowledge-based companies.

He went on to say that “mobile clinics“ had been one of the most important steps of Iran's plan for combating coronavirus, which had benefited many people in Iran.

The number of hospital beds, medical staff, and equipment had been increased in Iran amid the coronavirus pandemic, and no one was at risk, WHO official added.

Not only could Iran support the local needs of the country regarding coronavirus equipment, but it also could export to other countries, Ahmed bin Salim Al-Mandhari noted.

"Today, I have seen how Iranian organizations cooperate well to run Iran’s comprehensive and strategic plan," he said.

"I have also visited one of Tehran's clinical centers and realized that no one deprived of medical service," Ahmed bin Salim Al-Mandhari concluded.
