Tehran (IP) - Iran’s Parliament approved the general points of the country’s budget bill of 1400 (Persian year) in the open session.

Iran PressIran news: Members of the Islamic Consultative Assembly agreed with 211 votes in favor of the general amendments to the budget bill of next Iranian year's budget (starting on March 21).

1400 (In Persian calendar) budget amendment bill was on the agenda of the MPs in the open session of the Parliament on Tuesday, and the MPs approved the bill with 211 votes in favor, 28 against, and 6 abstentions from 252 MPs present.

The 1400 budget bill was first submitted to the Islamic Consultative Assembly on December 2 by Hossein Ali Amiri, Vice President for Parliamentary Affairs, and the Integration Commission reviewed its details within the stipulated deadline. However, in an open session on February 2, the members of parliament opposed the general points of the budget bill for the Year 1400.

Yesterday, the bill to amend the 1400 budget was put on the agenda by the Islamic Consultative Assembly, and today the MPs agreed with its general points.
