Iran Press/ Europe: The meeting, which took place simultaneously at the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Moscow, was chaired by Hamas and Jihad delegations.
During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on the latest developments in the Middle East, including the political ones in Palestine, the situation in the occupied Palestinian territories, the Palestinian elections, and issues of mutual interest.
In this meeting, while emphasizing the support of the Islamic Republic of Iran for the Palestinian cause and resistance, Kazem Jalali called resistance and stability as the only way to win over the Zionist enemy.
The Palestinian delegations also expressed their appreciation for Iran's position on the Palestinian issue. They stressed the need to continue the resistance until the complete liberation of Palestine from Zionist occupation would be realized.
The official visit of Hamas and Islamic Jihad to Moscow took place at the invitation of the Russian Foreign Ministry. Within the visit framework, they met with Deputy Foreign Minister and Representative of Russian President Vladimir Putin in the Middle EastMikhail Bogdanov.
Hamas said the movement and Islamic Jihad's delegations discussed with Jalali the latest political developments in Palestine, including holding elections for the Legislative Council, the presidency of the Palestinian Authority, and the Palestinian National Council.
The statement from Hamas said: "The delegations of Hamas and Islamic Jihad also discussed with Kazem Jalali about the violations and aggressions of the Zionist regime and the situation on the ground in the occupied territories."
In this meeting, the Iranian ambassador also stressed the firm and stable position of the Islamic Republic of Iran towards the cause of the Palestinian people and the continued support of the Palestinian resistance groups with all available tools and facilities, and means.
