Daily COVID-19 casualties reach down to 76 : Health spox

Tehran (IP) - The spokesman for the Ministry of Health, Sima Sadat Lari, said on Saturday that from 05 February to Saturday, 6,983 new patients with COVID-19 were diagnosed in the country based on definitive diagnostic criteria, of whom 498 were hospitalized.

Iran Press/Iran News: The total number of COVID-19 patients in the country reached 1,459,370, the spokesman said.

Lari noted, "Unfortunately, in the last 24 hours, 76 COVID-19 patients lost their lives, and the total death toll from the disease reached 58,412.

The spokeswoman stressed, "So far, 1,247,374 patients have recovered or discharged from hospitals so, and 3802 patients with COVID-19 are cared for in intensive care units of hospitals."

So far, 9,612,033 COVID-19 diagnostic tests have been performed in the country.

"36 cities are in the orange zone, 178 cities are in yellow, and 234 cities are in the blue zone," Mrs. Lari added.
