The head of the parliamentary friendship group between Iran and the Czech Republic and the new ambassador of the Czech Republic in Tehran stressed the need to improve the level of economic and trade cooperation with Iran.

Iran Press/Iran news: Mehdi Farshadan, the head of the parliamentary friendship group between Iran and the Czech Republic in the Islamic Consultative Assembly of Iran, said on Tuesday during a meeting with the new ambassador of the Czech Republic, Josep Richtar, in Tehran.

“We consider the relations as a sign of the progress and strengthening of the friendly relations between the two countries and we expect to see its impact more and more in the development of cooperation between the two countries.”, he added.

He also announced the readiness of the Iran-Czech Parliamentary Friendship Group in the Islamic Consultative Assembly to help facilitate and accelerate cooperation between the two countries saying ”We hope that after the end of the coronavirus epidemic, we will see the exchange of parliamentary delegations between the two countries.”

The Czech Ambassador to Tehran, Joseph Richtar, also stressed the importance of developing parliamentary cooperation between the two countries and expressed hope that talks between the Iranian and Czech parliaments would resume after the end of the coronavirus crisis.

He expressed hope for the lifting of US unilateral sanctions against Iran and said: "We believe that the lifting of sanctions will help use the existing capacities of the two countries and strengthen economic relations between Iran and the Czech Republic."
