Tehran (IP) - The spokesman of Iran's Foreign Ministry said that the crew of the South Korean ship in a humanitarian movement by the Islamic Republic of Iran received permission to leave the country.

Iran Press/Iran news: Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh said on Tuesday that following the request of the South Korean government and the assistance of the Iranian judiciary within the framework of judicial regulations, the crew of a Korean ship detained on charges of causing environmental pollution in the Persian Gulf, in a humanitarian movement by the Islamic Republic of Iran, received permission to leave.

The spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran also emphasized: the judicial investigation of the case of violation of the ship and its captain continues within the framework of the law.

Khatibzadeh also informed about the telephone conversation between "Seyed Abbas Araghchi", the Deputy Foreign Minister of Iran, and "Choi Jong Kun", the Deputy Foreign Minister of South Korea, and added: "In this conversation, the issue of freeing Iran's foreign exchange resources in South Korea as soon as possible was emphasized.
