Tehran (IP) - Iranian Ministry of Health spokeswoman announced in her presser on Monday that the death toll from COVID-19 in Iran has reached 57,481 noting that the disease has taken the lives of 98 patients over the past 24 hours.

Iran Press/Iran news: Lari said that another 98 people had lost their lives due to the deadly virus during the past 24 hours in Iran, and with this number, the total death toll reached 57,481.

Elaborating on the latest situation of the coronavirus pandemic in Iran, Lari said that 6,309 new cases infected by the COVID-19 were found over the past 24 hours, some 681 of whom have been hospitalized.

She added that 1,379,286 Iranians have totally been confirmed infected, some 1,171,070 of whom have either recovered or been discharged from hospitals.

Lari further underlined that 4,057 COVID-19 patients are in critical conditions and under treatment in the hospitals' intensive care units.

So far, 8,960,186 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted across the country, the Health Ministry spokeswoman pointed out.

As she stated,18 cities are in orange, 154 cities are in the yellow zone, and 276 cities are in the blue.
