Isfahan (IP) - Armenian Minister of Economic said his country has good relations with Eurasian member states, including Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and is willing to expand these relations with Iran.

Iran PressIran News:  "You are aware that there are difficulties at the border for Armenian and Iranian trucks. When Georgian cars enter Armenia, they do not pay any fees or tolls. Still, when Iranian cars enter Armenia, they have to pay about five hundred dollars," Vahan Karubian said in a meeting with economic activists at the Isfahan Chamber of Commerce on Sunday.

Armenian Minister of Economy continued: "Armenian cars and trucks are not allowed to enter Iran within a radius of 50 kilometers. If Iran does something, we are ready to eliminate some payments by the trucks' drivers."

Vahan Karubian said: "The new agreement between Iran and Eurasia is significant, and the deal gives us important opportunities for exports and imports."

"The establishment of a joint investment fund was discussed with the governor of Iran's Central Bank, which will help create at least a technology and industry park in Armenia," Karubian continued.

"Armenian-made goods such as sweets, chocolates, and cigarettes can not be imported into Iran through legal channels," he noted.

In this meeting, Massoud Golshirazi, President of Isfahan Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture, said: "Some production items in Isfahan province are ranked first in the country, which we hope will be exported to Armenian."

Masoud Golshirazi stated that tourism, especially health tourism, is one of the topics of interest for the Isfahan Chamber of Commerce and the relations between the two countries.

According to him, the Isfahan Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines, and Agriculture also will send a business delegation to Armenia.

Iranian producers should use capacity of Armenian market to enter global market

Armenian Economy Minister stressed that Iranian industrial activists and producers should use the capacity of the Armenian market to export products to other parts of the world.

"Armenia has a small market, but it is part of the world's largest market, and Iranian producers can find other markets through it," said Armenian Economy Minister Vahan Kerobyan on Sunday, while visiting three production units in the city of Mobarakeh of Isfahan Province in central Iran.

Referring to the high quality of Iranian products, the Armenian minister of economy said: "There are many opportunities for cooperation between Iran and Armenia, and other world markets can be reached not only in the field of mutual trade but also with the use of Armenia."

Armenian Economy Minister Vahan Kerobyan arrived in Tehran on Friday at the head of a delegation to discuss increasing trade with Iran. He had previously met and conferred with Iranian Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade Alireza Razm-Hosseini and Governor of Central Bank of Iran (CBI) Abdolnasser Hemmati.
